Great Gatsby Gala supports Komen Foundation
What: Flappers in fringed sheaths and pearls filled the Silver Ballroom of the Sheraton Read House for the Great Gatsby Gala. The fundraiser, limited to 250 people, featured dinner prepared by Porter's Restaurant, dancing, casino games, live and silent auctions.
Benefits: Chattanooga affiliate of Komen for the Cure.
Tennessee Wesleyan thanks its donors
What: Tennessee Wesleyan College held its annual Scholarship Donor Appreciation Luncheon on the Athens, Tenn., campus. Donors to the college's endowed and annual scholarship funds joined student recipients of those scholarships for fellowship at the luncheon.
Benefits: The luncheon thanks university donors as well as offers them an opportunity to meet the students who are receiving a college education thanks to their support of the college.
