Hamilton County mayor Jim Coppinger is well ahead of challenger Basil Marceaux in tonight's Republican primary race.
Coppinger has secured 5,343 votes to Marceaux's 489 just minutes after polls closed at 8 p.m.
Tonight's victor will move on to the August general election.
