GDOL helping Roper recruit for 80 jobs at its LaFayette, Ga., plant

The Georgia Department of Labor is conducting an on-going recruitment to help Roper Corp. fill 80 manufacturing jobs at its LaFayette, Ga., plant.

Roper, a division of GE, is seeking workers who will work on a production line that assembles kitchen ranges on eight-hour shifts Mondays through Fridays.

To apply for the jobs, applicants must complete a company application at the GDOL's LaFayette Career Center, 200 West Villanow St. They are also asked to bring a resume or work history to aid in completing the application. The career center's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The company will conduct a background check and a drug-screening test.
