Luncheon tops $70,000 for Lung Association

What: The annual Women of Distinction luncheon drew 670 guests to the Chattanooga Convention Center to see 12 area women honored as Chattanooga Women of Distinction along with the presentation of the Tennessee Woman of Distinction Award to Kim Criswell.

Benefits: The luncheon raised more than $70,000 for the American Lung Association in Tennessee.

Chattanooga Women of Distinction: Sgt. Cherilyn Bryant, Pat Fuller, Sissy Figlestahler, Dr. Deborah Ingram, Janet Jobe, Stacey Johnson, Virginia Love, Donna Roddy, Krystal Scarbrough, Judge Christie Sell, Pat Starke and Amy Thomas.

Derby party benefits Room in the Inn

What: More than 400 Kentucky Derby fans gathered under a tent on the Broad Street Republic Parking lot to watch the televised horse race, drink juleps and model big hats at the Tell Me Something Derby fundraiser.
