Lee University grads win Webby Award

Cleveland, Tenn. - Two Lee University graduates, Eric Brown and Taylor Jones, recently won the Webby Award for Best Professional Services website with their company Whiteboard, a university news release stated.

The Webby is "the preeminent award honoring excellence on the Internet." the release stated. Winners were selected from 12,000 entries by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, comprising Internet industry executives and entrepreneurs.

Brown graduated from Lee in 2009 with a discipleship ministries' degree, and Jones with a business administration and accounting degree in 2010, the university release stated. The two founded Whiteboard, which specializes in front-end development, web design, and corporate branding, in 2010.

"We built this company to leave a positive effect on the culture around us," said Brown. "This honor is a credit to the entrepreneurial spirit found within Chattanooga, and to the dozens of individuals who have spoken into the professional and personal lives of our team."
