The Georgia Department of Labor announced today it will is trying to help Shaw Industries Group recruit 20 commercial truck drivers for the company's expanding operations in Dalton.
The state agency will conduct interviews from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Dalton Career Center, 1406 Chattanooga Ave.
Applicants must be at least 24 years old, have a commercial driver’s license (CDL), at least two years of commercial driving experience, and live within a 150-mile radius of Dalton.
Company representatives will conduct interviews and salaries will be discussed at that time.
Prior to the recruitment, applicants are encouraged to fill out a company application online at https://www.shawfloors.jobs/transportation.aspx, or they may complete one at the career center the day of the event.
The company will conduct a background check and a drug-screening test on selected applicants.
