Two people were injured Tuesday evening when a small plane crashed in Chattooga County, Ga., near the city of Menlo.

The plane, a 1940 Taylorcraft, was only carrying two people, a pilot and a passenger, and crashed on the passenger's property, said Chattooga County Emergency Management Agency Director Eddie Henderson.

The passenger was taken by ambulance to Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Ga., and the pilot was flown to Erlanger by Life Force, Henderson said.

The Federal Aviation Administration will be in the area this morning to begin their investigation.
