Arts & Sciences defeat Trousdale County in state sectional, advance to state

Arts & Sciences got a one-hitter from Brianna Taylor, Kiara Suttles went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI and the Lady Patriots defeated Trousdale County 4-0 in a TSSAA Class A state sectional Monday afternoon at Frost Stadium.

CSAS, which first fielded a softball team in the 1995-96 school year, advances to the state softball tournament for the first time in program history. The Lady Patriots play Tuesday against McKenzie at 5 p.m. EDT at Starplex No. 4.
