Incumbents Deffenbaugh, Tarvin, Mullis leading in results from early Georgia voting

Early election results show incumbent John Deffenbaugh leading Robert Goff and Alan Painter in the state House District 1 Republican primary. Deffenbaugh had 155 votes with Painter following with 87 and Goff a distant third with 46 votes.

In House District 2's Republican primary, incumbent Steve Tarvin was leading challengers Rebecca Ann Brown and L.E. "Ebeth" Edwards with more than 68 percent of the vote. Tarvin had 465 votes with Edwards next at 162 and Brown bringing up the rear with 51 votes.

In the GOP Senate District 53 primary, incumbent Jeff Mullis was leading with more than two-thirds of the vote over challenger Thomas Dooley. Early results showed Mullis had 862 votes and Dooley trailing with 402.
