23-year-old shot to death, another injured on Appling Street in Chattanooga

A 23-year-old man is dead and another is injured after a shooting at 2314 Appling Street around 8:30 Wednesday evening.

Police said DeSean Pierce was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim, 24-year-old Christopher Brown, arrived at a local hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds which are believed to be non-life threatening, according to a news release.

Chattanooga Police are actively pursuing suspect leads at this time and are attempting to work with potential witnesses.
