Signal Mountain woman's nephew wins 'American Idol'

A Signal Mountain woman's nephew is the next "American Idol."

Lea Ann Marshall is the aunt of Asheville rocker Caleb Johnson. Her husband, Bob Marshall, is former chief financial officer for Krystal and now works as vice president of business development and sales at MetalTek International.

Johnson, 23, is the oldest son of Lee Ann Marshall's sister.

After a nationwide vote, Johnson took the title over Michigan crooner Jena Irene, according to our news partners at the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Johnson's first album is due out Aug. 12.
