Lindy Ladd Brennen, 40, of Stevenson, Ala., was charged with first-degree theft of property and booked into the DeKalb County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond, according to a news release from Sheriff Jimmy Harris.

The release said the restaurant's manager reported the theft May 15 and evidence led investigators to Brennen. The district attorney's office issued a warrant for her arrest and she was taken into custody Thursday in Scottsboro, Ala.

"I'm glad our officers and the Henagar Police Department were able to work this case so quickly," Harris said in the release. "The staff of Jack's was great in helping get evidence to help close this case."
