Parkridge Health System recently appointed Nicole Castleberry to the position of vice president of finance.

In her new role, Castleberry will be responsible for overall financial reporting, controls and analysis of the Parkridge Health System to ensure compliance and consistency across all facilities.

"We are excited to welcome Nicole to this new leadership role," said Tom Jackson, Parkridge Health System CFO. "She has done outstanding work for our company over the past several years, and we are proud to have her as a member of the Parkridge Health System team."

Castleberry earned her bachelor of science degree in finance and her master of business administration degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She joined Parkridge Health System in 2011 as a financial analyst and most recently served as the controller and market director of finance.


Vaughn partners at Monarch

The Monarch Financial Group LLC (Monarchfg.com), located at Northgate One in Hixson, recently added Stuart Vaughn as a partner.

Vaughn has been an active broker in Chattanooga for the last 15 years. He is a specialist in investment planning, portfolio construction and management, stocks, bonds and mutual funds. Monarch Financial Group LLC focuses in the areas of retirement planning, investment planning, insurance planning and business insurance. Scott Patton and Herb Broadwater are the other partners in the firm. Patton concentrates in 401K administration and planning, as well as overall investment planning. Broadwater concentrates in the areas of lifetime income planning, Medicare issues and retirement planning. The firm has acquired newly renovated space at Northgate One.


Two present in crime seminar

Decosimo announced that director of forensic accounting and internal audit services Bill Acuff and Benjamin Dusing, founder and managing partner of BGD Law, will co-present at a white-collar crime seminar on June 12. The event will focus on the topic of how to prevent and detect employee theft.

Through the presentation of "Stealing from the Company: How to Prevent and Detect Theft and What to Do When You Find Out," Acuff and Dusing will address the growing concern over white-collar crime. They will discuss strategies to prevent and detect common fraud schemes, and they will also address best practices for taking action when an organization suspects an employee of stealing from the company.

A certified public accountant in financial forensics, Acuff has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, providing assurance services, conducting investigations, providing litigation support, performing forensic business analyses and audits.

Prior to founding BGD Law, Dusing served as an assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Ohio and the Eastern District of Kentucky where he specialized in the prosecution of white-collar crimes. He provides results-driven legal representation in the areas of white collar criminal and civil litigation, business consulting and dispute resolution.


Byrd's, Sanders join Signature

Managing broker Gina Sakich announced the addition of George and Donna Byrd and Debra Sanders to the Signature Team. Meyer receives designation

Michael Meyer of Georgia Northwestern Technical College is only one of two U.S. HVAC instructors to recently receive the title of Certified Master HVACR Educator (CMHE).

The title confirms that he is a master of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration education. Meyer, having successfully passed the seven required examinations, has been awarded the highest credential that can be conferred on an HVACR educator by HVAC Excellence.
