Woman struck and killed by drunk driver while here to attend grandson's graduation

Funeral services are scheduled Thursday for a north Georgia native who was struck by an alleged drunk driver.

Sixty-five-year-old Jo Anna Hickman of Augusta was visiting at her daughter's home in Calhoun, and had planned to attend her grandson's graduation on Saturday at Heritage High School in Catoosa County.

According to Rome radio station, Hickman was reportedly standing at the mailbox when she was hit by a car, driven by 50-year-old Wanda Hogan of Calhoun.
