Cite ONE of them that pertains to Veterans.

One!!

Here's a complete list of bills introduced through the 112th Congress;

Cite the one's Harry Reid is refusing to bring to the floor to a vote pertaining to Veterans.

I don't care for Harry Reid, but there is such a thing as relating facts, and relating rumors, and that Sir, is an unfounded rumor.

Harry Reid said on the floor, In my time as Majority Leader, I have faced 382 Republican filibusters. That’s 381 more filibusters than Lyndon Johnson faced during his six years as Majority Leader. Time and again, the Republicans have stalled or blocked perfectly good pieces of legislation to score points with the Tea Party – and they’ve hurt middle-class Americans in the process. Even the most noncontroversial, consensus matters – items that would have passed by unanimous consent in the past – Republicans have obstructed or delayed. But if Republicans want to know why it’s been unproductive, they should take a look in the mirror. It’s time Republicans stopped talking about how much they want to get things done and started working with Democrats to actually get things done.

May 28, 2014 at 5:45 a.m.

The Democrat Party paints itself in a bad light, as does the GOP.

Oh, poor Barack, he's so misunderstand. And Harry, what a saintly crusader. The current GOP is about as weak an opposition to the Democrat Party as there's ever been. There's almost no difference between the two. You libs always need a bogey man.

I thought Limbaugh was irrelevant? I listen to Limbaugh, and Mark Levin. They continually slam the GOP for standing for nothing, for being irrelevant. You libs always say we do whatever Fox and Limbaugh say to do. You're ignorant. You libs all sound the same. You have no idea. You bring up the same talking points. Conservatives have absolutely no pull in the GOP, zero. The GOP will nominate a d-bag like Jeb Bush because they just want to be Democrats, so what do you have to complain about?

Our government is controlled by liberals. Even the GOP is liberal. They just talk a good game, but they're nearly as liberal as the Democrats.

By the way, you should all read Limbaugh's new children's books, Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims, and the patriots one. His book was voted book of the year. You might learn something.

What better representative of strong "family values" then a man that has been divorced four times? Yet, he'll spent his whole show ranting how gay marriage will be the destruction of "traditional families". You conservatives will give anyone a pass as long as they are pro-god (again, you have to overlook the divorce thing), pro-gun, and anti-Obama. "Rush Revere"? Give me an effing break. I think I'll let my kids read something historically accurate when it comes to that, not some the words of a distorted, radio blow hard.

How many times a year do you think this happens in the Senate? Are you under any impression that this is unusual? I assure you it is not.

People elected to Congress introduce some rather silly bills, most of which are never read on the floor. They die a much needed death before they make it to the floor.

You repeated a lie that has been told many times on conservative outlets. Harry Reid is what he is, but the truth deserves to be told. How many bills has John Boehner refused to bring to the floor. How many have not made their way through committee(s)?

An even better question is, how many time wasting foolish bills have been brought to the floor of the House and voted on, when more deserving legislation sat on the sidelines not being processed?

"Our government is controlled by liberals. Even the GOP is liberal. They just talk a good game, but they're nearly as liberal as the Democrats." - zableedsomethingorother

That right there, folks, is a huge reason why this country is in the crapper right now. There are a large number of American citizens who are as clueless as zableed here about who is running the show. This country has been in a downward spiral of strict conservatism ever since Ronnie boy came on the scene and today there is such an anti-government, anti-liberal hysteria among the tea-party infested GOP that they have Democrats almost ashamed to admit that they are the least bit liberal.

Here is what has transpired ever since golden-boy Ronnie first uttered those fateful words, "Government is not the answer to our problems; government IS the problem": massive deregulation, the repeal of Glass-Steagall (under Clinton, who drank too much of the Kool-Aid of Reagan's anti-government ideology), loss of unions, good-paying blue collar jobs shipped overseas, corporations legally able to avoid paying their share of taxes, increasingly stricter abortion laws, EXPANSION of gun-carry laws and ever increasing power and influence of the NRA, defunding of public education, and an irrational fear and distrust of science, thanks to teabagging fundamentalist intrusion into the GOP. And finally, corporations have amassed so much power and wealth that they are able to pull the strings of our politicians, such that we have an oligarchy today and nothing even resembling a democracy.

So where do you get off saying that liberals control our government, zableed?? Big Business controls our government! How blind do you have to be not to see that?? And Big Business is anything but liberal. We have moved so far to the right over the past 30 years that even the middle is still right-wing. Granted we have Obamacare...but that is only moderately liberal. Too much control is still left in the hands of the private insurance companies. A truly liberal national health insurance plan would have made it single-payer, as it should be.

If zableed thinks that our government is liberal today, I shudder to think what life would be like under the sort of strictly conservative government he hopes for.

Fairmon, where do you read your news?

A congressman can claim anything to the press. The GOP make claims all the time that are found to be patently false.

Where is the list of the alleged 12 bills passed by the Republican led House that are "sitting on Harry Reid's desk?"

In light of recent developments, you'd think if it were true, that the Republicans would be howling to the moon and citing those bill numbers.

Proof is not a statement from one man.

Proof is in the numbers.

I don't care for Harry Reid any more than you probably do, but on this one, I do defend the man, for the statement that he is sitting on bills that pertain to the VA is absolutely false.

I love the way people write articles when they are obviously opposed to the person being highlighted.

Tom Steyer is clearly a Democrat supporter. He is clearly a proponent of environmental causes, and thus opposed to the Keystone Pipeline. All true.

Where the writer goes wrong is suggesting that the President in any manner, is opposed to the Keystone Pipeline in any manner, because Tom Steyer is. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that the two med have ever met.

Tom Steyer has pledged to arrange $100 million in campaign donations across a wide spectrum of candidates, and in no manner has tied that to any pledge from the President to continue to oppose the Keystone Pipeline.

This very month, Harry Reid promised a vote on the Keystone Pipeline, but the GOP blocked all chances for such a vote when they refused to pass a bi-partisan energy bill, scuttling the planned vote for the Keystone Pipeline.

Fairmon wrote: "I retracted the all VA statement but there are 14 bills Harry Reid is holding up and will not bring before the senate. Several are in the read twice and sent to committee category."

I again reiterate that not every bill sent to the Senate makes it to the floor for a vote. Not every bill is derailed by the Senate Majority Leader.

If a bill does not make it out of committee, how is this the fault of Harry Reid? Isn't that the point of having a committee? To determine if a bill is worthy of a floor vote?

This is why I challenge the notion suggested by Representative Jackie Walorski's statements are patently false. I also challenge them for another reason.

She has sponsored two Veteran related bills, neither of which made it out of the House. They are;

H.R.2974 - A proposal to amend title 38, United States Code, to provide for the eligibility for beneficiary travel for veterans seeking treatment or care for military sexual trauma in specialized outpatient or residential programs at facilities of the Department of Veterans Affairs, and for other purposes.

H.R.4370 - Which is the Veterans Information Security Improvement Act.

She Co-Sponsored SEVEN bills, none of which made it to the House floor either;

H.R.164 - To amend title 10, United States Code, to permit veterans who have a service-connected, permanent disability rated as total to travel on military aircraft in the same manner and to the same extent as retired members of the Armed Forces entitled to such travel.

H.R.755 : To award a Congressional Gold Medal to the World War II members of the Civil Air Patrol.

H.R.2382 - Prioritizing Urgent Claims for Veterans Act

H.R.3225 - Making continuing appropriations for veterans benefits in the event of a Government shutdown.

H.R.3230 - Pay Our Guard and Reserve Act

H.R.3232 - Support Our Armed Forces Act

H.R.3241 - Pay our Guardsmen and Civilian Defense Personnel Act

There were a total of SEVEN Veteran related bills that have become law, that she also co-sponsored.

So where are all these VA related bills allegedly sitting on Harry Reid's desk? She's lying through her teeth. They are sitting on the desks of her own committee.

I did find ONE bill that was sent to the Senate and that almost meets your statement.

H.R.2189 - To improve the processing of disability claims by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and for other purposes.

Current Status? - Received in the Senate and Read twice and referred to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs.

Oops!! It bounced back on her own committee.

The woman is lying through her own teeth.

Care to confess?

Don't ask me. Ask him. He admitted to it.

"BO is in embarrassment. I don't agree with his political philosophy and what the Democrats stand for."

Sir, you're problems go far deeper than a simple disagreement with the man. You hate him to the core and you just can't let it go.

Your life hasn't been altered one bit since the man has been in office, but you carry on as if he is personally persecuting you.

"It's libs like you who can't handle you're savior being criticized. What, we should all just bow to him and ask how high when he says jump? I know being the narcissist that he is, he'd love that."

You're too ignorant to realize that the man doesn't even know you exist. You're nothing to him. He should be nothing to you. If you were standing in front of him, he would never hear a word you were saying.

You're a nobody. I'm a nobody.

The difference between yourself and I is I realize this and it doesn't bother me.

What the President does from day to day does not change my life one iota and it never has. Never. No President has affected my life at all...at least not in the last thirty five years or so.

You hyperventilate at everything the man does and says. It's hilarious, to say the least.

Your delusions do not represent fact. What difference could it possibly make to your life if Barack Obama is liked by anyone?

You apparently believe that your constant harping against the man is going to change anyone's opinions. I know you are incapable of changing your opinion about the man.

Whom are you trying to influence with your constant negative remarks about the man? What are you trying to accomplish?

Let it go. The man will be out of office in two and a half years.

Then you can bash Hillary around for eight years, because I assure you, there isn't a Republican that stands a chance of being elected President.

You far-right wingers have very little representation in Washington and it's thinning by the day.

Yeah I do, and I posted it. My source claims that the charity claims an overhead of 33% or more. That's about .67 cents, not the .90 to .95 you offered.

"Anything over 70% beats hell out of any government operated program"

You can down the Government all you wish, but The Wounded Warrior Project doesn't offer lifetime support for every Veteran. It bridges gaps and offers assistance for various needs, at best.

The Government still offers the best deal going for Veterans, in terms of lifetime care, support, and even at it's worst, the VA is better than what other nations offer their people.

Sir, I did not call you a child molester. I only stated that you are known by the company you keep.

"I can't tell from those posts you site if he really is one or not."

Sir...look at the post up there I wrote. "OMG...You admit it?"

He came back a few minutes later and wrote "Yes, Anthony. I really should thank you for exposing me. It's a great relief to rid myself of this burden. I'm struggling to make things right. Pray for me."

"From the 11:43 post on May 18th it sounds like he's pulling your leg."

Why in the world would ANYONE with a brain admit to something like that, if it were not true? The absolute worst thing a man can be known to be in today's society is a sex offender involving an underage child. In prison, that is a death sentence by other inmates, if they can get their hands on you.

Do you think that is something to even begin to "joke" about?

Hell no it isn't.

"Who dug up the information/photo to begin with?"

It's public information. There are at least a dozen sites that post sex offenders online. All it takes is to put his name into a Search Engine, and it pops up.

"How was that initiated? Why did anyone get the idea to dig up information on him?"

The jerk started posting personal info on me into this forum, so I went digging into his life a little.

"Tell you what, if you can prove 100% that he is one, then I'll believe it."

Hey...the evidence is what it is. He confessed and then the next morning he wanted to take it all back. Musta been high as a kite the night before, but for whatever reason, he confessed to being Jack Dana Dennis.

And Jack Dana Dennis has a rap sheet a mile long and has numerous sex offenses under his belt.

Believe it. Ignore it. I don't know what other proof you want that he hasn't already provided to convict himself in the forum.

What are the questions about her health? Does she have polio (FDR)? Heart attacks, stroke, Crohn's disease (Eisenhower)? Addison's disease (JFK)? Alzheimer's (Reagan)? Graves disease and atrial fibrillation (GHW Bush)?

I guess "health questions" only matter when a woman is considering running for President, right?

Because if the election were held today, she would win in a landslide. She's the one to beat in this next Presidential election. Her entire life has been about this chance to be the first female President.

SHE WILL RUN, but will not announce her intention until January or February of next year.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know all about those questions about her health. The only one not being asked those questions is the woman herself. She might die tonight. Any one of us could die tonight.
