Two charged in burglaries

Chattanooga police arrested Jonathan White, 18, and Gene Allen Shea, 19, Tuesday on two counts of burglary and one count of auto theft over $10,000.

Shea and White were discovered in a stolen 2007 Lincoln SUV, valued at $17,000, at 4720 Stagg Road. The key had been left in the vehicle when it was stolen, and had been stolen for about 36 hours.

Additionally, the suspects were discovered with items from two thefts from vehicles at the Alpine Villas apartments located at 4040 Mountain Creek Road.

Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Jail on a $50,000 bond.


Bank robbery suspect sought

Chattanooga police are still searching for the suspect in the May 22 robbery of the Cohutta Bank at 5613 Highway 153.

At about 2:47 p.m., a black male entered the bank and gave a teller a note that read "give me your money... don't make a scene." The teller complied with the note, and the suspect left with the money.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned, unshaven black male with a medium build. He was wearing a baseball hat, a long sleeve white button down shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes.
