Whitfield County wreck sends 4 to area hospitals

The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office is reporting that a serious two-car accident occurred at the intersection of Lake Kathy Road and Highway 2 at around 5 p.m. Thursday.

The wreck resulted in some individuals becoming entrapped in the vehicles and caused four injuries. One injured party was taken to Erlanger by Life Force, two by ambulance, and the last injured person was taken to Hamilton Medical Center by ambulance.

Whitfield County Fire, Sheriff and EMS responded to the scene, along with Georgia State Patrol, Life Force and Varnell Police.

Georgia State Patrol is working the investigation.
