KNOXVILLE - One person was killed in a T-bone collision along Chapman Highway on Thursday, marking the second fatal traffic crash reported along the route in less than 24 hours, police said.

Thursday's crash, reported at 11:41 a.m., occurred when the driver of a Chevy Aveo pulled out of the parking lot at 6201 Chapman in an attempt to cross all lanes of traffic, according to Knoxville Police Department Lt. Bryan Malone.

The Aveo was struck by Chevy Tahoe in the northbound lanes, near Lindy Drive.
