By the time the "weeklong" observance is through, there may be more than 175 ways to celebrate Chattanooga's 175th birthday.

Originally scheduled to start Saturday, Nov. 8, the celebration was expanded to a Nov. 1 debut and stretches into Nov. 15. More events, according to a dedicated website, are added every day. They range from history tours to a citizenship clinic to a mattress sale ($175 off, naturally).

Some events, such as concerts, art openings and theater productions, are covered elsewhere today in ChattanoogaNow. Here are some additional highlights for the next seven days. You can find a complete schedule of happenings at www.cha175.org/events. Reservations are required for some outings.
