Gadsden police nab 7 men in prostitution sting

GADSDEN, Ala. - Gadsden police used an online ad to catch men they say were soliciting sex online.

The Gadsden Times reports police officers placed an ad on a website used by people to arrange to pay for sex acts and arrested the men as they arrived to complete the transaction.

Gadsden police Sgt. Josh Russell tells the newspaper the ad featured a single line and a phone number. The ad was online for two days. Callers told an undercover officer what type of sex act they wanted to buy and how much they were willing to pay. They were told to come to a hotel.

The seven men caught up in the sting ranged in age from 43 to 66.
