Dalton State lose Massey but 3-0

Arkansas-SEMO Live Blog

Dalton State has lost 6-foot-8 senior transfer Isiah Massey from Louisiana Tech for the season because of a knee injury, but the basketball Roadrunners cruised without him Saturday to their third win in three games, 91-77 against visiting Morris College.

Dalton State jumped to a 29-9 lead and got 18 points from Preston Earle, 17 from Sean Tate and 12 from Anthony Hilliard and 10 rebounds from Ladaris Green.

"We've been devastated not having Isiah," coach Tony Ingle said in a DSC release. "That's thrown everything for a loop. ... Now we've got to rotate lineups, we've got to put people in (earlier than usual). I thought we had it set with Jordan Bowling coming off the bench because he is a very versatile player. He can play all five positions. Now he is having to start for Isiah."

The Bryan College women improved to 5-1 with a 76-63 win at Talladega.
