Chattanooga City Council selects four-person staff

The Chattanooga City Council has selected its new staff members.

Nicole Gwyn has been named the new council clerk. Gwyn was previously the deputy clerk for the council. Current Clerk Sandra Freeman was not eligible for her old job after the council restructured the staff and changed the qualifications for the post.

The council also unanimously selected Thomas Tansil to be its legislative and management analyst. Tansil served in the U.S. Navy and has a law degree, although his law license is inactive.

Current Analyst Randy Burns was interviewed to reclaim his old post, but ultimately was not selected by the council's selection committee.

The Council voted to hire Keren Campbell to be its support specialist and Kristen Booker as its support assistant.
