Victim identified after deadly Cleveland, TN shooting

CLEVELAND, Tenn. - A man died Sunday after being fatally shot in Cleveland early Sunday morning, according to a news release.

Police have identified the victim as 36-year-old Aaron "Josh" Davis.

The shooting happened in the area of Georgetown Road. A motorist waved down a Bradley County sheriff's deputy at the intersection of 25th Street and Peerless Road and told the officer Davis was inside the car.

The officer followed the car to SkyRidge Medical Center. A disturbance after several people arrived following the victim sent the hospital into lockdown mode.

Davis was transported via Life Force to Erlanger hospital and later died.

The Bradley County Criminal Investigation Division is investigating.

In regard to the incident at the hospital, Cleveland police also responded to the scene and charged one person with disturbing the peace.
