Appeals court to hear Tennessee child sex trafficking case

MEMPHIS - A panel of federal judges will hear the case of a Tennessee woman who pleaded guilty to child sex trafficking conspiracy charges.

The U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati will take up the case of 21-year-old Victoria Wallace of Memphis on Dec. 3.

Wallace pleaded guilty in January 2013 to the charges and was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Testimony at Wallace's sentencing hearing showed that Wallace was a high-ranking member of the Piru Street gang, using force and threats of force to control her victims

A juvenile testified that Wallace drove her and three other minors to New Orleans for the purpose of having them prostitute. Wallace used minors as prostitutes in Memphis.

Wallace is being held in the federal prison at Aliceville, Alabama.
