Two men arrested in DeKalb County, Ala., for trafficking spice

Two men have been arrested in DeKalb County for trafficking spice, according to a news release from the Dekalb County Sheriff's Office.

Corey Wayne Martin, 22, of Hot Springs, Ark., was arrested and charged with trafficking in synthetics cannabinoids and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, the release said.

Stephen Austin Hammonds, 31, of Crossville, Ala., was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the release.

Both men are being held in the DeKalb County Detention Center awaiting bonds.

Information gained in the arrest led to more arrests in Marshall County, and the street value of this drug seized is estimated at $400,000. The investigation remains ongoing in Marshall County and several more arrests are anticipated in this case, according to the release.
