• Startup Week Chattanooga presents David Weinberger Monday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga Public Library (4th Floor), 55 E. Main St. Startup Week Chattanooga programming will officially begin with a keynote address from David Weinberger, a nationally-acclaimed author and researcher at Harvard's Berkman Center for Internet and Society. Widely recognized for his books "Too Big To Know," "The Cluetrain Manifesto" and "Small Pieces Loosely Joined," Weinberger is a sought-after voice on how the Internet is redefining the way people interpret the world around them. While presenting in Chattanooga, Weinberger will walk the audience through the notion that the future is a platform. The event is a production of the Chattanooga Spirit Series. • Community Video Conference with Brad Feld Monday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Miller Plaza - Waterhouse Pavilion, 850 Market St. Author, blogger, entrepreneur and venture capitalist Brad Feld will engage in a live video conference with Launch Tennessee CEO Charlie Brock at Startup Week Chattanooga. The public is invited to join the conversation and ask Feld their own questions during the video conference. Feld is the co-founder of TechStars and Foundry Group and has authored several books about start-ups, including Startup Communities: Building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Your City. • CEO Speaker Series featuring Greg Vital Wednesday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center, 1150 Carter St. Hear local CEO Greg Vital share tips for entrepreneurial success at this special Startup Week installment of the CEO Speaker Series. As the head of Independent Healthcare Properties LLC, Vital will share the challenges he has encountered while growing his business and the strategies he has employed to overcome those obstacles.
