Good Deed: Woodwinds get hands clapping, toes tapping at St. Barnabas

photo CSO musicians, in circle from left, are Kristen Holritz, principal flute; Bob Burks, principal oboe; Gordon James, principal horn; Eric Anderson, principal bassoon; and Bob West, principal clarinet.

Members of the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra Woodwinds Ensemble brought their considerable talents to St. Barnabas at Siskin Hospital and delighted patients and residents with a selection from their repertoire.

The ensemble performed music from a variety of composers, from Hayden to Joplin; genres from classical Baroque to American folk; and even a few from contemporary film. It was the "Colonel Bogey March," however, that really got toes tapping and hands keeping time!

The ensemble was wonderful! We are so glad they shared their talents with us.
