Save 'Little Lives'; vote 'yes' on No. 1

How amazingly coincidental you should publish an article on "Saving Little Lives." Recently, I attended the monthly Chattanooga Tea Party meeting. (Described by Nancy Pelosi and others as racist, terrorist, arsonist etc.)

One topic of discussion was that Tennessee is the third largest provider of abortions in the country. People travel here to have abortions! State abortionists have performed thousands of abortions due to activist judges' ruling in 2000.

There is an opportunity for the people to put a stop to thousands of "little lost lives" in November. But it will take them personally going to the polls and voting "Yes" on the proposed constitutional amendment No. 1 on the ballot. Talk to your religious leaders and get them involved. Discuss it with your family and friends.

The Tea Party encourages you to know what is happening. Get involved! Learn how you can save thousands of lives! If you think this sounds crazy, find out how crazy it is this state should allow four judges to force this to happen.

Attend the next Chattanooga Tea Party meeting and see what else you are being kept in the dark about!

Stereotypes unnecessary

The inaugural Chattanooga Ironman Triathlon turned out to be a major accomplishment for Chattanooga and the region. For many if not most of the race participants and their supporters from all over the country and the globe, this was their first exposure to Chattanooga, and from all indications, most left with favorable impressions.

Like most people, I was disappointed by the actions of someone who tossed carpet tacks and motor oil on one of the race course roads that inconvenienced, endangered and even ended the race for some of the participants who had invested many months and dollars into their preparation and attendance of the event. There is no excuse for this, and I hope the perpetrator(s) are apprehended and punished.

However, I do take exception to columnist David Cook's use of such stereotypical and derogatory terms as "lounging on pork rinds and Red Man," "hee-haw funny" and "throwing beer cans" in his otherwise positive and inspirational column. I believe such offensive language reflects negatively on all residents of the area and has no place in conversation or in print.

Let's all elect 'problem solvers'

During the 2014 election cycle, No Labels is awarding the "Problem Solver Seal of Approval" to candidates who are committed to the National Strategic Agenda and reach across the aisle if elected.

Iowa just became the first Problem Solver state as both U.S. Senate candidates, U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley and state Sen. Joni Ernst, have been awarded the seal.

These two candidates have very different political views, but they agree America needs a shared vision that both sides can agree on.

Support from a Democrat and a Republican in the same Senate race is further proof the National Strategic Agenda can unite people across the political spectrum.

Either way, whoever wins, there is another supporter of the National Strategic Agenda in Congress.
