The Rioult Dance NY company will perform Tuesday, Oct. 14, as part of the Patten Performances series in UTC's Fine Arts Center.
Founded in 1994, the company has been a leader in the modern dance world and is known for "presenting the sensual, articulate and exquisitely musical works of Pascal Rioult."
They've built that reputation by presenting an annual New York season, touring internationally, working with school arts programs, creating community outreach programs and offering dance training to the public through classes, workshops and intensives.
From its very beginnings, Rioult has put an emphasis on education and community outreach. Rioult's arts-in-education program, DanceReach, offers an interactive approach to introducing students to the world of modern dance. It has involved thousands of students in New York, around the country and overseas.
The 2014-15 season marks Rioult Dance NY's 21st anniversary. To date, Pascal Rioult has created more than 40 dances, premiering at least one new work each year.
