A 31-year-old babysitter has been charged with aggravated child abuse after two of the children she cared for went home with broken legs.

The mothers of each child discovered the injuries after they picked their daughters up from Bridgett Jones' East Ridge apartment between Oct. 9 and Oct. 15. She is also known as Bridgett Lamb.

In one case, the mother of a six-month-old took her daughter to the hospital after her daughter was fussy and couldn't put weight on her left leg. The daughter had a spiral fracture in her leg - that's a break caused by twisting force.

The second victim is the six-month-old's cousin, a four-month-old girl. Her left femur was broken, as well as her right fibia and her right tibia in two places.

When questioned by police on Wednesday, Jones said she grabbed each of the children by the ankles and feet and shook them when they cried. She described the action like shaking the sheet on a bed.

She told police that her boyfriend was abusive, which made her angry, which is why she shook the children. She said she was sorry for what she'd done, according to the affidavit.

She is being held in the Hamilton County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
