Benjamin Martin, 61, better known to listeners of WUSY-FM 100.7 as "Bearman," died Thursday after falling at his home and after months of battling liver disease.
Martin was in his 20th year with the station, teaming with Ken Hicks in the mornings.
WUSY posted this statement on their website this morning:
"Many of you know Bearman was dealing with some health problems over the past couple of months. The last week Bearman had been in the hospital and was getting better and left the hospital on Wednesday. He slipped and fell early Thursday morning at his home and hit his head. He was rushed to the hospital, he went into a coma and went to be with The Lord around 10:45 p.m. Thursday night. Please keep Rosa and the family in your prayers they need them right now."
