One dead after Highway 27 crash in Soddy-Daisy

One of the five people injured in a Sunday crash on Highway 27 in Soddy-Daisy has died, police confirmed today.

The accident was caused by a driver who pulled out from Dayton Pike in front of another vehicle traveling north on Highway 27, authorities said.

But the Soddy-Daisy Police Department hasn’t released the names of anyone involved in the two-car crash. Several people who witnessed the crash said one person was airlifted to Erlanger hospital after being pulled from a mangled red truck.
