A 63-year-old woman, reported missing on September 1, has been found in East Ridge. The woman's daughter told East Ridge police yesterday that her mother, who suffers from dementia, had walked off from her home on Village Lake Circle and had not returned.

The East Ridge Police Department began searching the area around Camp Jordan. They were assisted by the Chattanooga Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, East Ridge Fire Rescue, and Hamilton County S.T.A.R.S.

After the command post was established, first responders were called to an address on State Line Rd. to attend to an elderly and disoriented female who had sustained minor injuries from a fall. Once on the scene, first responders treated the injuries and identified the victim of the fall as the missing woman.

Two citizens had seen the woman in the area of Ringgold Rd. and McBrien Rd. and offered her a ride. She directed them to the house on State Line Rd., a former residence of hers, where she slipped and fell.

From the house, the woman was transported to Parkridge East Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
