• An Inside View from the EEOC and Responding to Charges of Discrimination Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Blvd. Debra Moser-Finney, outreach and education manager for the EEOC's Memphis district office, will provide an update of today's hot topics at the EEOC, including its strategic enforcement plan of national priorities, relevant statistics and new guidance on pregnancy discrimination. Attorney Dan Gilmore of Squire Strategies will also provide practical guidance to employers on responding to charges of discrimination. • 2014 College and Career Fair Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at National Guard Armory, 1801 N. Holtzclaw Ave. The fair gives 11th- and 12th-graders the opportunity to network with college representatives and members of the business community. Vendors participate by setting up booths and sharing information about higher education and career opportunities. Community volunteers are needed to assist with this event. This year's theme, "Past, Present and Future of Midtown," will serve to show the community a range of the history and personality of the area, which stretches from the Brainerd tunnels to the Chattanooga Airport. Food, musical performances and children's activities will take place throughout the day.
