Benjamin Miller joins Parkridge

Orthopaedist Benjamin Miller has joined the medical staff of Parkridge Health System.

Dr. Miller earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Freed-Hardeman University and a doctorate of medicine from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He completed a residency in orthopaedics at the University of Arkansas and a sports medicine fellowship at the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Miss.

Dr. Miller is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He is affiliated with Chattanooga Bone and Joint.


Campbell heads Erlanger cardiology

Charles Campbell, formerly an associate professor and director of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, is the new chief of cardiology for UT Erlanger Cardiology.

Board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Dr. Campbell earned his medical degree from Michigan State University, completed his internship and residency at Keesler Medical Center Air Force Base and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base. He specializes in cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, cardiovascular critical care and heart failure.

Prior to his positions at University of Kentucky, Dr. Campbell worked as a Critical Care Air Transport leader in Germany and Iraq and as a staff cardiologist at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Tx. He has been a member and organizer of several committees and professional societies in cardiovascular medicine and participated as a speaker in numerous cardiology conferences and as an editor or peer reviewer for national cardiology publications.

Coleman elected at Logan-Thompson

Matthew G. Coleman has been elected to shareholder status at Logan-Thompson PC. Coleman has been with the firm since January 2010 and practices in general civil litigation with emphases in Social Security disability, personal injury, workers' compensation and insurance issues.

Prior to joining the legal profession, Coleman served 12 years in the U.S. Army as a Green Beret and is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan. Coleman earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Lee University and doctorate of jurisprudence from the Appalachian School of Law.

NRC picks Nadel at Watts Bar

Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials have selected Jared Nadel to serve as the senior resident inspector for the Unit 1 reactor at TVA's Watts Bar Nuclear Plant near Spring City, Tenn.

Nadel previously served as a reactor inspector near Arlington, Texas, before becoming resident inspector at Surry Power Station in Virginia.


Frizzell named CMO at Pratt

Tina Frizzell was recently named chief marketing officer at Pratt Home Builders. Since joining the home building company in 2009, Frizzell has been responsible for managing Pratt's sales and marketing efforts in Chattanooga.

Prior to joining Pratt Home Builders, Frizzell owned a business development firm that specialized in growing companies through strategic policy development and processes. She earned a degree in engineering and has worked in a variety of business and marketing jobs.

Braggs joins CHI Memorial

Dr. Natalie Braggs has joined CHI Memorial Rheumatology and Arthritis Associates. Dr. Braggs is a graduate of University of Tennessee School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and her fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Braggs is board certified in internal medicine.

"We are pleased to welcome Dr. Braggs and are excited about the expertise she brings to our physician network at Memorial," said Dr. Nicholas G. Economides, vice president and physician executive of Memorial Hospital's Mountain Management Services.

Rheumatologists treat arthritis, autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal pain disorders and osteoporosis. There are more than 100 types of these diseases, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and tendonitis.

"It is important to establish an accurate diagnosis early so that appropriate treatment can be initiated," said Dr. Braggs.


Lane joins Pratt Homes

Pratt Homes has hired Melissa A. Lane as a new homes consultant for the Cleveland, Tenn., area. Pratt Home Builders recently started several new developments in the Cleveland area, and Lane will be leading the company's efforts in Bradley County.

A Cleveland native, Lane brings an extensive knowledge of the market through her previous experience as the MLS coordinator with the River Counties Association of Realtors.

"Melissa has proven to be a dynamic addition to the team of consultants at Pratt," said Tina Frizzell, CMO of Pratt Homes. "Her outgoing personality and driven work ethic has already produced results in our new expansion into the Cleveland area."

Kevin Jones has joined Claris Networks as a help desk technician. Jones previously worked for Callahan Mechanical and will be working out of the Chattanooga office.
