This class will teach you how to set up your new QuickBooks files for Pro, Premier or Enterprise version, determine which QuickBooks products are best for your business and cover the basics of using QuickBooks. • 1 Million Cups Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Green ' spaces, 63 E. Main St. Event brings Chattanooga's entrepreneurial community together to hear two start-up entrepreneurs and unique local businesses pitch their companies. Each event includes a Q&A session with featured participants. Coffee is provided by Velo Coffee Roasters.

• Small business orientation Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, 100 Cherokee Blvd. The counselor discusses basic business planning, including financial projections and legal entity. You will receive an information packet containing phone numbers and addresses for information about business licenses, taxes and other start-up materials. The WEOC is an ongoing effort by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development to reach out to Tennessee employers, provide valuable information to foster economic development and promote services. • 2014 Chattanooga Chamber Open House Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, 811 Broad St. This event engages membership, introduces staff to investors, highlights Chamber members and promotes active volunteerism. With over 700 attendees last year, the Chamber is expecting a large turnout from the business community. This is an opportunity to highlight your business, network and enter to win a few grand prizes. Volunteers go into the classroom to offer students information about interviewing, completing applications and appropriate dress for work.
