EPB gigabit service comes to Chattanooga Airport

Chattanooga Airport will offer EPB's gigabit Internet service to passengers.

EPB and airport officials have entered into an agreement that will replace the existing Internet service with the power board's ultra-fast speed, at no cost to Lovell Field patrons, said Terry Hart, airport chief executive.

EPB also plans to set up a demonstration area for its high-speed Internet in the former gift shop near the security checkpoint, he told the Airport Authority today.

The power board will set up computers and video gaming devices to show off its Internet service.

"What a better way to welcome people to the Gig City," said EPB spokesman John Pless.

The airport isn't charging EPB for the space, and EPB is offering its Internet service at no cost to the airport, Hart said.
