Good Deed: Fire Department food drive teaches valuable life lessons

photo Two-year-old Hunter Mullins hands a fireman his peanut butter.

Last month there was a local food drive by the Chattanooga Fire Department. My grandson, Hunter Mullins, loves fire trucks so we took this opportunity to teach him a lesson about helping others. He picked out the food he wanted to donate, then we headed to our local fire hall. Once there, Hunter took each can of food and handed it to Capt. Davenport while telling him: "This is peanut butter for the children. This is corn for the children." Thank you CFD for hosting this food drive and allowing us to teach a 2-year-old the life lesson of helping others.
