Dunked! Good sports take watery plunge for four nonprofits
What: Nineteen local celebrities volunteered to be dunk-tank targets Sept. 12 to raise funds for four local nonprofits. "Dunked" was sponsored by Chattanooga Friends young professionals organization in Miller Plaza.
Benefits: Siskin Children's Institute, Northside Neighborhood House, Children's Advocacy Center and Chambliss Center for Children.
Volunteer expo held in Cleveland
What: Cleveland State Community College hosted its fifth annual Make a Difference Now Volunteer Expo recently. More than 50 community agencies were on hand displaying and distributing information about their services and how they use volunteers to accomplish their mission.
