Two men sought in Dalton theft of copper wiring

Two men are believed to have stolen more than $300 worth of copper wiring, approximately 300 pounds, from the Shaw facility at 1019 Riverbend Road, according to a news release from the Dalton Police Department.

The Dalton Police Department are asking for information from the public to help them identify the men who were recorded on surveillance in a white pickup truck. The truck is is missing its right quarter panel above the front right wheel, and investigators are hoping that someone may recognize the truck, as pictures of the men are not very clear, according to the release.

The theft first happened on Sept. 5, around 5 a.m. when a white male suspect arrived at the facility on a bicycle and stole a small quantity of copper wire. The same suspect is believed to have returned later in the day around 3:30 p.m., this time with another white male in a pickup truck to steal more wiring.
