No injuries were reported in connection with a house fire in East Lake early this morning.
The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 1:38 a.m. and responded to 4100 9th Avenue, according to a news release from the fire department. Battalion Chief Lesley Morgan said in the release that the house was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
The house was a total loss. Morgan said it appeared the two-story house was being used for storage and was unoccupied. The dollar loss was estimated at around $50,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
