A multiple road resurfacing project in Catoosa County will begin Monday and continue through Nov. 30.

The project is federally funded and is being administered through the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The project will affect seven different roads in the county -- but no road closures are anticipated -- as one lane will always be open, according to a news release from Catoosa County.

The project includes a standard resurfacing, patching and surface treatment to the roads, said Jeremy Bryson, public works inspector for Catoosa County.

In many road projects, a road has all of the processes completed before crews move on to the next road, Bryson said. But, this project will instead unfold in different stages.

"There will be periodic times that crews will come in to do each of these processes to all of the roads included in the project," he said. "Once they finish one process on all the roads they will start on the next process."

Approximately 11.4 miles of roads in the county will be resurfaced through this project that is estimated to cost $2.5 million.
