Ten people were hurt Thursday when a wooden deck collapsed at a home in northwest Georgia during a Thanksgiving gathering.

Fire officials in Gordon County told Channel 2 that the collapse on Ash Court near Calhoun may have been due to poor construction or too many people on the deck.

"Everyone just fell on top of each other," said Yasmin Garcia, who was on the deck when it collapsed. "It was really, really bad."

Garcia told Channel 2 that her two daughters, aged 2 months and 15 months, were among the 10 people hurt.

Garcia said her father was the most seriously injured. He was airlifted to a Chattanooga hospital with extensive head trauma.
