A 5-year-old Hall County girl was injured Tuesday when she was attacked by the family's three pit bulls, an official said.

Kadence Johnson was flown to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, according to Capt. Zachary Brackett of Hall County Fire Services.

The incident occurred in the 4100 block of Browns Bridge Road, Brackett said. Johnson had injuries to her face and neck. She was attacked when she walked out the back door.

Three dogs, described as pit bull-mix breed, were removed from the residence by Hall County Animal Control officials, according to Brackett. The dogs have been euthanized, according to a post on GoFundMe by Tiffany Shawn Beloin, who identified herself as Johnson's aunt.

"Her head, face and ear seemed to get the most of the attack," Beloin said of Johnson, who was in plastic surgery Tuesday.

Hall County sheriff's deputies notified the Division of Family and Children Services.
