UPDATE: Chattanooga police say the man shot and wounded on 23rd Street on Tuesday is Andre Tucker, 32.

ORIGINAL STORY: A man is in the hospital after being shot multiple times near the Central Park restaurant on the 2400 block of E. 23rd Street. 

At 8:30 p.m., a silver Nissan Sentra with multiple bullet holes peppered along its side could be seen parked two blocks away at the Hunan Wok 1 on the 2200 block of E. 23rd Street.

Shortly after, a man was loaded into an ambulance and taken to a local hospital. The man's wounds are considered non-life-threatening.

The man told investigators he was shot while in a vehicle, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.

Police have not yet identified the victim or released suspect information.
