The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office arrested three people Tuesday after finding 15 pounds of marijuana in their car.
According to a release, a Whitfield County deputy pulled over a Kia on Interstate 75 North after the driver of the car weaved out of his lane, almost hitting the deputy. Around mile marker 337, where he stopped the car, the deputy said he smelled marijuana.
He searched the vehicle and found an estimated $125,000 worth of marijuana in the trunk.
The sheriff's office has arrested three people with possession of marijuana, trafficking marijuana and possession with intent to distribute: 27-year-old Gregory Lee Cistrunk, of Nashville; 33-year-old Don Tajuan Wesley, of Antioch; and 32-year-old Lashaunta Monique Beach, of Atlanta.
