UPDATE at 8 p.m.: All warnings and watches have passed.

UPDATE at 7:25 p.m.: Evening storms caused additional damage to EPB's smart grid, and some residents are without power.

EPB is aware of the situation and working to restore power to customers, according to the company's Twitter account.

There are also reports of downed wires and trees on Hixson Pike.

UPDATE at 6:15 p.m.: A severe thunderstorm warning is now also in effect until 7:15 p.m. for all of Rhea, Bledsoe, west central Meigs and northeastern Hamilton counties.

The tornado warning has passed.

A tornado warning is in effect for north central Hamilton, Sequatchie, southwestern Bledsoe and northeastern Marion counties, according to the National Weather Service.

Locations for the warning include Dunlap, Soddy-Daisy, Whitwell, Powells Crossroads, Chimneys Rock State Park,Martin Springs, Cartwright, Flat Top Mountain, North Chickamauga Creek Gorge, Griffith Creek, Palio, Mowbray Mountain, Lone Oak and Sale Creek, according to the NWS.

The rest of Chattanooga's surrounding counties are under a tornado watch.

Windy conditions are expected through Monday afternoon in Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

A severe thunderstorm warning was also issued for southwestern Rhea, Sequatchie, central Bledsoe, northeaster Marion and central Hamilton counties.
