After numerous inquiries from local media outlets, the Bradley County Sheriff's Office is now investigating an incident in which a child was burned.
A call reporting a burned child being taken to a hospital by a family member came in to the 911 communications center just after 5:30 p.m., according to a news release from the BCSO. It was not clear what day the incident took place.
An officer was dispatched but cancelled before arriving at the hospital after finding out that the location of the incident was in Polk County.
Wednesday, the BCSO leaned that the location of the incident does actually fall within Bradley County, according to the news release.
The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the circumstances that led to the child being burned.
