UPDATE at 9 p.m.: Chattanooga police have identified the shooting victim as Leslie Lebon Walker, 28.

Chattanooga police say a drive-by shooting left an unidentified male with a minor leg injury in the 1900 block of Dodson Avenue around 1 p.m. Saturday.

The victim refused medical treatment and gave "very little suspect information," Chattanooga police Sgt. Sean O'Brien said at the scene.

Except for four police cars - one unmarked -and crime scene tape, the street was empty and quiet as the officers wrapped up the scene at 3 p.m.

"We do have some property damage to a car and a couple of houses that were completely uninvolved with the individual who was hit," O'Brien said, adding police have recovered eight or nine shell casings with at the scene.

"The Major Crimes investigator has spoken to the victim and will take the investigation from here," O'Brien said.

Police spokesman Rob Simmons confirmed in an email the victim was male and that his injury was not life-threatening.
