The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office responded to an "altercation" between two students at Orchard Knob Middle School about 10 a.m. Thursday.
It was determined that one child received a minor injury that did not require immediate medical treatment, according to a news release from the HCSO.
The student who caused the injury was taken into custody and transferred to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing, and because the incident involves juveniles, no further information will be released, the press release stated.
